Understanding the Experiences and Impact in Intimate Partners of Psychopathic Individuals

The researchers are seeking participants 18 years old or over who have had a romantic relationship with someone who may have psychopathic traits. Participants will be asked to complete questionnaires that measure anxiety, depression, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress. There are also questions that ask about the experience of being harmed (including physical, emotional, and financial harm), as well as questions on participants’ personality features, past history, resilience, coping and social supports. The survey takes between 45-60 minutes to complete. Those who have experienced financial harm will also have the option of participating in an online interview that focuses on the effects of financial harm.
